These flights typically depart from major airports in the US such as John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in New York City and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) and arrive at Lisbon Portela Airport (LIS), Algarve Gago Coutinho Airport (FAO) or Porto Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport (OPO) in Portugal.
The flight duration can vary depending on the specific route and airline, but it typically takes around 6-8 hours to Flight the East Coast of the US to Portugal.

TAP Air Portugal has continuous breakouts from San Francisco Airport to Lisbon as of 10 June 2019. The Portuguese carrier operates five daily breakouts – Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. Flying time is roughly twelve hours.
TAP Air Portugal operates continuous breakouts from Dulles International Airport to Lisbon. There are five breakouts per week – Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday. Flying time is about seven- and-a-half hours.
TAP Air Portugal offers direct breakouts from O’Hare International Airport to Lisbon as of 1 June 2019. With five daily breakouts – Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday – each trip takes roughly eight hours.
